SLATED Terms of Service

Effective date: August 13, 2026

These are our launch terms, written in plain language. They describe how SLATED actually works today. An expanded version reviewed by counsel will replace them; when it does, we'll post it here and email account holders about material changes.

Who we are

SLATED is made by Slated Recruiting LLC, a Texas company. Questions about these terms: support@slatedrecruiting.com.

What SLATED is (and isn't)

SLATED is recruiting software for high-school baseball players and their families. It builds a personalized board of college programs scored against your verified numbers, and it helps you run email outreach to college coaching staffs.

Being honest up front:

• Our scores are estimates built from public data. They are a map, not a promise.
• Nothing we do guarantees recruitment, a scholarship, admission, or a roster spot.
• We are not affiliated with the NCAA, the NAIA, or any school or athletic program.

Your account

• You must be at least 13 to have an account.
• If the athlete is under 18, we require a parent or guardian's email address. The parent is notified about the account, and the athlete's outreach emails do not send to coaches until a parent confirms.
• Keep your profile honest. Coaches make real decisions from it, and made-up numbers hurt the athlete most of all.
• You're responsible for keeping your login secure. You can delete your account at any time from the Profile page — deletion is permanent.

Outreach emails

• Emails to college coaches send from a SLATED email address with the athlete's name, never from your personal inbox. Nothing sends until the athlete reviews and approves each email.
• We track email opens so you can see when a coach has read your email, and we forward coach replies to your own inbox — replying to a forward goes straight to the coach.
• Every outreach email carries an opt-out link for the recipient. If a coach says stop, we stop, permanently.
• Optional drafting assistance can suggest email wording generated from the facts in your own profile. You always review and edit before anything sends.

Acceptable use

Don't scrape or resell our data (including coach contact information), don't misrepresent who you are, don't use the email tools for anything except your own genuine recruiting outreach, and don't attempt to break or probe the service. We may suspend accounts that do.

Subscriptions and billing

• Current plans: Basic ($100/month or $1,000/year) and Premium ($200/month or $2,000/year), plus applicable taxes.
• Subscriptions renew automatically — monthly plans each month, annual plans each year — until you cancel.
• Cancel any time, online, in a couple of clicks: Plan & billing → Manage billing. No phone call, ever. When you cancel, you will not be charged again; the timing of when access ends is shown to you in the billing portal when you cancel.
• Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store card numbers.
• If we change prices, we'll give existing subscribers advance notice by email, and the new price applies no earlier than your next renewal.
• Refunds are covered by our Refund & Cancellation Policy.

Your content

Your profile, your stats, and your emails are yours. You give us only the permission we need to run the service: storing your information, computing your board, sending the emails you approve, and showing your information to people you choose to share it with (like your own coach — which is off by default and controlled by you).

Privacy

How we handle personal information — including special protections for minors — is described in our Privacy Policy.

Disclaimers and limits

SLATED is provided "as is." To the fullest extent permitted by law: we disclaim implied warranties, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, and our total liability for any claim is capped at the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights that consumer law gives you and doesn't let us change.

Changes and disputes

We may update these terms; material changes will be emailed to account holders and the new version posted here with a new effective date. These terms are governed by Texas law. If we ever have a dispute, both sides agree to try to work it out directly first — email support@slatedrecruiting.com and a human will respond.
