SLATED Privacy Policy
Effective date: August 13, 2026
This policy describes, in plain language, what Slated Recruiting LLC ("SLATED", "we") actually collects and does with it today. A counsel-reviewed expanded version will replace it; material changes will be emailed to account holders.
The short version: we collect what the product needs to run, we share it only with the services that run it and the people you choose, we never sell personal information, and we show no ads.
What we collect
Account information. Name, email address, and a password (managed by our authentication provider; we never see or store the plain password).
Athlete profile. What you enter to power your board and outreach: birthdate, high school, class year, position(s), home state, measurables (60-yard dash, exit velocity, throwing velocity, height, weight), academics (GPA, SAT/ACT), and optional extras — batting average, summer team, highlight video link, your phone number, and your own coach's name/phone/email if you choose to add them. For athletes under 18, a parent or guardian's email is required.
Outreach activity. The emails you write and send through SLATED, delivery status, whether they were opened, and coach replies (which we forward to you). We keep a history of your measurables over time so you can see your own progress.
Team connections. If you join a coach's roster or a coach invites you.
Billing. Handled by Stripe. We store your subscription status and plan; we never see or store card numbers.
Technical. Session cookies to keep you signed in. We use no advertising trackers and no third-party analytics that profile you.
How we use it
To run the product: computing your Match Board, drafting and sending the emails you approve, showing coaches what you've consented to share, and showing you what came back. To send service emails: coach-reply forwards, follow-up reminders, and (for accounts with a parent email on file) a weekly progress note to the parent — every recurring email has its own stop link. To process payments, prevent abuse, and meet legal obligations. That's the list.
Children and teens
- SLATED is for athletes 13 and older. Our signup asks for a birthdate and blocks under-13 signups.
- For athletes under 18: we require a parent/guardian email, we notify the parent about the account, and the athlete's outreach emails do not send to coaches until a parent confirms.
- Sharing the athlete's profile with their own team coach is off by default and can be turned off again at any time in Settings.
- Parents can review, export, or delete their child's information at any time — self-serve from the Profile page, or by emailing privacy@slatedrecruiting.com.
Who we share with
Service providers that run SLATED, only to provide the service: Stripe (payments), Supabase (database and sign-in), Vercel (hosting), Postmark (email delivery), and Anthropic (optional email-drafting assistance — it receives the profile facts and draft needed to suggest wording, solely to provide that feature).
People you choose. College coaches receive the emails you approve and send. Your own team coach sees your profile only if you turn sharing on.
Nobody else. We do not sell personal information, we do not share it for advertising, and we show no ads.
Email open tracking
Outreach emails include standard open tracking so the athlete can see when a coach has read their email. This is disclosed to the athlete before their first send, and every outreach email gives the recipient a permanent opt-out link.
Your rights and controls
- Export: download everything we hold about your account from the Profile page ("Download my data").
- Delete: delete your account from the Profile page — it removes your profile, board, and outreach history permanently.
- Email controls: every recurring email (reminders, parent notes) has its own stop link; coach-share consent is revocable in Settings.

Security and retention
Data is encrypted in transit and hosted with the established providers named above. We keep account data while your account exists and delete it when you delete the account. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach ever affects your data, we will tell you.
